Bike 2 UA Day

Here's a few pictures to sum up Bike 2 UA Day.  The Cycling Club would like to thank Trek Bicycles of Tucson, City of Tucson Transportation Department, and UA Parking & Transportation for putting on such a fun event.   And thanks to Clif Bar for the Clif Bars (and Shot Bloks too!).

Club members probably lubed 50 squeaky chains, installed 100 Incredibell's (a Bike Fest giveaway), fixed 5 flats, adjusted many brakes, cables, and fed many pounds of food to hungry campus bike users.

TDOT on the left (Clif Bars, Commuter Challenge Registration, Tucson Bike Maps, Share the Road Guides).  UA Parking & Transportation on the right (Free bicycle registration and Campus Bike Maps).

UA Cycling Club tent with bagels, croissants, cookies, iced tea, and free labor for bike adjustments.

Neil's bike rack getting lots of use.

Kate, David, and Alex enjoying the calm before...

 that 10 minutes between classes.

The entire setup.

Thursday, April 16th: Bike 2 UA Day

The UA Cycling Club, UA Parking & Transportation Services, and Trek Bicycles of Tucson are celebrating biking as transportation on the UA Mall from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Bring your slick 3-speed, rusted fixie, or your race machine to get some special treatment on the Mall. Trek Bicycles and the UA Cycling Club will offer bike commuters free tune-ups, coffee, and snacks.

There will be a limited number of free giveaways, bike maps, stickers, Clif Bars, and more! Don't miss out on this bike extravaganza! We'd like to thank the Student Union Corporate Sponsors for providing food and coffee.

To learn about Tucson's Bike Fest events, please visit: http://dot.ci.tucson.az.us/bikefest/

As always, thanks for riding bikes.
